| District heads receive
training |

| KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): Almost 17 district chiefs of southern Kandahar province were imparted new managerial and administrative skills in a three-day training workshop held in the province.
The workshop was provided by US Agency for International Development (USAID) through Local Governance and Community Development (LGCD), the workshop completed on Wednesday.
Technical Advisor of USAID in Kandahar, Mohammad Yousuf Jahid told Pajhwok Afghan News the purpose of the workshop was to strengthen good governance and social development in the region adding the district chiefs learnt important lessons about various methods of good management.
He said the participants also learned the rules how to organize meeting, proper planning and contacts with media.
Mohammad Masaud Kakozai, district chief of Maiwand told this news agency he has learned many important skills of good working and said such workshops could really boost their performances in terms of successful management.
Almost one week back, Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission ARCSC had also organised a two-day similar workshop for district chiefs of Kandahar province.
Public also welcomed the enhancement and improvement of government employees competence and said it would help not only strengthening the government but would also boost the professional skills of individuals in their day-to-day activities. |
