Three armed Taliban killed in Zabul
KALAT/ PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Security officials in southern Zabul province said three armed Taliban were killed while they were planting a landmine. Ghulam Jailani Farahi, a security official of Zabul told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place Thursday morning. Jailani said three Taliban were killed in the incident and the dead bodies were in the area. However Taliban spokesman Qari Yousaf Ahmadi rejected the claims. Jailani added that one Talib was killed in Shigan district in a clash on Wednesday evening. Qari Yousaf Ahmadi rejected the claims and added that four US soldiers were killed in the clash. In another report armed Taliban wounded an intelligence staff in central Logar province. The incident took place in Deh Maqlan area of Pul-i-Alam, provincial capital of the province. Hakimullah, a resident told Pajhwok Afghan News the intelligence staff member was wounded and armed Taliban took his motorbike. A security source confirmed the incident and added that in counter firing of police one Talib was killed. Zabihullah Mujahed Taliban spokesman said in an attack an officer of campaign forces was killed.
