PTI demands committee to monitor aid distribution F.P. Report
PESHAWAR: Central General Secretary of Pakistan Tehrik Insaf, Dr. Alvi has said that around 3.5 million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Malakand Division were living in miserable conditions in and out side of relief camps and its high time for the government to ensure their respectful return to their homes. He was addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Sunday and demanded of the government the take concrete steps for the early rehabilitation of IDPs. He advised the government to set up All Parties Relief Committee to monitor the impartial distribution of foreign aid received in context with IDPs. The Committee would also chalk out a strategy for the assessment of damages after the operation in Malakand Division. Dr. Alvi further said that a package should also be evolved to engage the youth of the restive areas in healthy activities and their honourable employment. He also demanded interest-free loans for business community of the area who were bad;y suffered during the whole exercise. Provincial President PTI, Asad Qaiser, vice president Iqbal Afridi, President Mingora city Fazal Hakeem and Youth Wing President Zafar Khattak were also present on the occasion.
