ISAF vehicles torched
KABUL (AIP): Angry mob torched two vehicle of foreign forces in capital Kabul after one of the two vehicles crashed into a civilian car, killing four occupants, local residents said Friday. A protester told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that a vehicle of foreign forces hit a civilian car in Bibi Mehro Square of Kabul City today’s afternoon, killing four occupants. He said local residents angered by the incident pelted stones on the vehicles of foreign troops and later set it ablaze after the troops abandoned the vehicles. A local resident told AIP that they also heard gun shots but it was not clear who opened the fire. Said Abdul Ghafar Sahibzada, anti crimes police chief, told journalists that police resorted to aerial fire to disperse the protesters. But the protesters said the Afghan police opened fire on demonstrators to help the foreign troops escape from the area. Zamaray Bashari, spokesman of interior ministry confirmed the incident in the area but would not details of the incident saying had no further information in this regard. There was no statement by foreign forces about the incident.
