| Gas billing system be made people frindly: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar on Monday has said that Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) would support the demand for establishing a Siraiki province and has stressed Parliamentarians from Siraiki belt to raise the issue with in their political platforms.
Talking to The Frontier Post here outside Parliament House Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Senior Leader of MQM said that issues of the province Punjab could be redressed, if major political forces from Punjab introduce some efforts.
He said, Altaf Hussain, Chief MQM always supported the rights of people from Siraiki belt and party has decided to tender its complete support to the establishment of Siraiki province.
Federal Minister said, raising the demand for establishing the Siraiki province would be more effective and productive if it would be raised from Punjab itself, as MQM doesn’t enjoys any seat from the province.
Farooq Sattar said that the top leadership of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) doesnot seems opponent to the Siraiki province and the province should be set up which would add positively to resolve the issues of citizens from Siraiki belt.
Meanwhiel, leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the slab and gas billing system under practice at present was insufficient to safeguard the interests of the poor and was adding up a burden to a common man, demanding the revision of gas slabs, load, distribution and billing system he said that PAC had directed to reduce the slabs in billing system from seven to three.
Leader of Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan raising a point of during on-going 20th session of the National Assembly said that the present slab and bill management system of the gas was distorted and need of time was to make it people friendly rather making it more cruel.
The issue has been Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said, made more complex beyond the understanding of common men even a layman could not understand what game was being played with him. |
