Nawaz lauds GB people’s patriotism

Talking to PML-N Secretary Organising Committee, Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Mohammad Akbar Taban at his Raiwind residence here on Sunday, Nawaz Sharif said it is a matter of pride for every Pakistani that people of the area despite all the difficulties supported Pakistan and this patriotism was unwavering.
He expressed sympathies with the families of those who were killed in Kohistan tragedy. He said if Allah Almighty gave a chance to the PML-N, it would take all the steps for improving the living standard of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said GB is a beautiful area of Pakistan which is a source of attraction for the tourists. By further development, it could be made a centre of tourism, he added. “This would not only help earn foreign exchange but also create job opportunities.”
On the occasion, Akbar Taban praised the role of Punjab government and PML-N for helping the affectees of earthquake and Attaabad lake as well as for providing scholarships to students in Punjab educational institutions. He requested Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif to launch Laptop and Yellowcab schemes in Gilgit-Baltistan.
