ISLAMABAD (APP): Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh on Monday said London Olympics 2012 will provide new players a good chance to show their worth in the national hockey team.
Talking to APP, Shahnaz said that according to rules, the players who have participated in the World Series Hockey (WSH) in India would not be permitted to feature in the London Olympics.
Top Pakistan players including Rehan Butt, Shakeel Abbasi, Zeeshan Ashraf, Mohammad Imran, Waseem Ahmed and Imran Warsi are participating in WSH.
"It will be a real test for the new players of whether they are able to handle the pressure in the Olympics or not," he said.
Shahnaz said that he feels the Pakistan team can secure a place in the semi-finals in Olympics.
