"They were Lyari gang-war members involved in extortion, target killings, kidnapping for ransom and other criminal activities," SP Amir Farooqi told a private TV channel, adding that the suspects were captured during a raid in Pak Colony area.
On the other hand, the spree of violence continued in Karachi, with two people injured today when miscreants fired at a car on Stadium Road.
Police said a car carrying three people came under attack near Aga Khan hospital on Stadium Road. "Two of them sustained bullet injuries after unknown bikers opened fire on the vehicle," officials said.
Separately, a passenger bus overturned in Karachi's Natha Khan area, leaving scores of people injured.
