Babar indicted in contempt case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday indicted Senator Babar Awan in contempt of court case.
A two member bench of the apex court comprising Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan and Justice Athar Saeed heard the case.
The court observed that Babar Awan was guilty of contempt of court. It said he had ridiculed the Supreme Court on 1st December‚ 2011. The court observed that the words and tone of Babar Awan were contemptuous. Babar Awan has‚ however‚ pleaded not guilty and said that there was no clear contempt of court law in the country.
