23 killed as wedding party bus plunges in valley

According to CPO Rawalpindi, Azhar Hameed, a wedding party bus with about 100 people including women and children on board was on its way back to Chakwal when it fell in gorge in Dournarrar area some 25km away from main Kahuta city.
As a result of accident 20 people were killed on the spot while more than 70 sustained injuries. Three people succumbed to their wounds while being shifted to hospital raising the death toll to 23.
Police, rescue teams and the local people rushed to the spot and started rescue work but they had to face problems due to darkness.
The vehicle was badly destroyed in the accident due to which dead bodies and the injured people were taken out after cutting the parts of the bus.
