SMS to the editor

Posted on 11 months ago

Reference SMS in the FP on 21st June. It could have been just a simple and easy matter, once we could realise to become fair to ourselves and to the others. This obviously could solve 90% of our daily problems.
Unfortunately the brought up of our children at home and at school colleges is not up to the standards to make good human beings. Therefore, our generations are becoming selfish, dishonest, unfair, hypocrite, hence sycophants in life.
This characteristic prevails in the whole society. For example whenever a govt. functionary gets a lucrative posting, we are in hurry to congratulate him, although we are least benefited from his corruption.
I have noted that in the Europe and America when ever two cars are knocked with each other, both the drivers come out from the vehicles and say sorry before any settlement is reached at. In our case the opposite party is always held responsible for wrong driving and no one ever admits his fault.
For 40 years our Holy Prophet (PBUH), by his behaviour and actions endeavoured to make the Makkans good human being for the sake of making a good society.
When a person is a good human being, he could be a good Christian, a good Jew, a good Hindu or a good Muslim. Unfortunately in the Islamic world our clergy, teachers, governments or even the parents least bother to bring up their children as good human beings, in accordance with the Quran and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) teachings.
In the sermons and preaching the clergy put more stress to earn Jannah only, but never bother to prepare a good society in which the Muslims could lead a peaceful and honourable life. In the Islamic history the kings/rulers concentrated only on their palaces, Harams and the armies.
They were least bothered for the welfare of the common subject or the society. Even the historians happened to be unfair in writing independent history, and their accounts are only in the praise of kings, and never highlighted the real problems of the subject of the time.
