NAB: PM not named in RPPs case

ISLAMABAD: A spokesperson for the National Accountability Bureau (Nab) said that the newly-elected-Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has not been nominated as an accused in the rental power case but investigations into the case are still underway, FP News Desk reported on Saturday.NAB Spokesperson Zafar Iqbal said that the investigative team looking into the rental power case is reviewing the statement submitted by Pervaiz Ashraf.He added that if the team deemed appropriate then Ashraf could be summoned again.Iqbal also said that NAB authorities had so far recovered Rs 2.2 billion of the misappropriated funds.Raja Pervaiz Ashraf had been summoned to the NAB head quarters earlier on 28 April with regards to the investigations into the case, according to NAB officials, where he was quizzed for three hours.
