AG's attitude
Posted on 12 months ago
It is pity that a man of the status of AG behaves in a very debasing way and passes silly remarks about the very prestigious institution and the most respectable judges of the Supreme Court.
The report on the Web shows that the man was not only interfering while the renowned lawyer Mr. Hamid Khan was pleading the case, but was making some very insulting gestures coupled with uncivilized remarks about the honourable judges.
Should we have the choice of selection of such a person for such a prestigious position as that of the AG of Pakistan?
The report indicates that the lawyers were so much infuriated by the shameful attitude of Irfan Qadir that they were about to give him a lesson by dragging him in the court but for the intervention of the senior members of the lawyer fraternity and the honourable judges.
Is Mr. Qadir there to perform the most dignified duty of assisting the court or he is there to play the role of a "Jiala" with a certain motive to disgrace the highly respected campus of the Superior Court. He has committed contempt of court and must be proceeded against under the relevant provisions of law.
We cannot expect from the incumbent rulers anything graceful and respectful but desecrating the courts seems to be a highly immoral and unforgivable move which is likely to damage the whole national fabric which has already been severely afflicted by the very insulting attitude of those ruling this unfortunate nation.
A man with this standard of moral is by no means an appropriate choice for the highly respectable job and must be replaced by a proper respectable personality, who must demonstrate through his attitude that "a proper man is on the proper Job"
