Floods cause casualties, losses

KABUL (AIP): Flash floods killed two persons and caused heavy losses to properties of people in Herat province, an official said Sunday. Addressing a gathering, the western zone police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi said the floodwaters killed two minors in Obeh and Chist Sharif districts in Herat province over the past 42 hours. Meanwhile, the Herat deputy governor Aseeluddin Jami said the reports they had received suggested two minors were killed and 400 cattle perished in the floodwaters in Chisht and Obeh districts.
