Sakhakot like action against kidnappers, car-lifters demanded

MARDAN: Aman Jirga Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has demanded of the government to carry out Sakhakot like military action against the kidnappers and car-lifters allegedly residing in Gidar Gumbat, Sheikh Maltoon Town, Dobyaan, Jalbai and Jalsai areas of Mardan and Swabi districts.
The Aman Jirga provincial president Syed Kamal Shah advocate, General Secretary Arshid Manan advocate and other key Jirga members included Fazal-i-Raziq, Fiqeer Khelji expressed these views in a press conference as was held here on Sunday after the recovery of a kidnapping person Waris Khan from his captors' house located in the Amankot area of Toru city.
The Aman Jirga provincial president Syed Kamal Shah advocate and its other members on the occasion said that the incidents of kidnapping for ransom, car-snatching other crimes had been reduced almost to zero when the government carried out military operation in the Sakhakot city against different criminal gangs involved in incidents of kidnapping, car-lifting, murders, extortion and robberies.
They expressed great concerned over the situation by saying that the areas of Gidar Gumbat, Sheikh Maltoon Town, Dobyaan, Jalbai and Jalsai areas of Mardan and Swabi districts had now become safe heavens for the criminals who were residing in these localities after the military operation against them in Sakhakot city.
They said that the growing ratio of such incident had worried the traders and peaceful residents of Mardan and Swabi districts as they were feeling themselves insecure all the time.
They demanded of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and Inspector General of Police Akbar khan Hoti to take prompt action against these criminal gangs within one week.
They, however, made it clear that they would take arms against these criminal gangs so that to oust them from these areas if they the quarters concerned did not take effective steps in this regard. They also said that government would be responsible for the consequences if it did pay any heed to this burning issue and people themselves were compelled to take action against these outlaws.
