IHC, Rawalpindi, Islamabad district bar teams meet CJP

ISLAMABAD (INP): An 8-member delegation led by Presidents of Islamabad High Court Bar, District Bars Rawalpindi/Islamabad and other office bearers of Islamabad District Bar called on Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Friday in the Supreme Court Building, Islamabad.
The members of the delegation discussed with the Chief Justice issues and matters of interest of the legal/judicial fraternity. The delegation expressed the hope that under the leadership of Chief Justice the system of administration of justice will further improve and deliver justice to the public at large. They appreciated his steadfastness, devotion, commitment, determination and efforts for the cause of justice and eradication of corruption in the society and said that the public have reposed great confidence in the judiciary.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that a huge responsibility has been cast on the shoulders of legal fraternity to standby for the supremacy of the Constitution and the Rule of law. He said that the public have great expectations from Bench and the Bar so both will have to provide justice to them at their door-steps. The Chief Justice asked the members of delegation to cooperate with Courts by coming prepared to argue the cases and avoid seeking adjournments so that cases may be decided quickly and relief may be given to litigant parties.
