Siraj: Peace, stability must for development

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Political agent North Waziristan Siraj Ahmad Khan has said that Govt was keen to develop every walk of life in tribal areas but peace and stability was needed to work in a peaceful environment.
He was addressing a Jirga of tribal elders of Miranshah headed by Malik Mumtaz here in his office.
Former Peshawar DCO and now PA North Siraj Ahmad Khan told the tribal elders to cooperate the Government in controlling those elements who were creating law and order problems for the government and the people as well.
"Govt is working on several projects worth billion of Rupees in North Waziristan and peace is a must for smooth working" he mentioned adding that a project of Razmak Miranshah high way was recently inaugurated that will cost four billion rupees.
The Jirga was called on in his office regarding Miranshah bypass road and the elders assured him about their fullest support.
Siraj Ahmad Khan also vowed to release huge funds for education and health in NWA.
"I have asked the authorities at Miranshah Hospital to inform me about any kind of short comings regarding medicine and any other instruments" He told the elders.
He further told that infrastructure, education and health were his top priorities and no stone will be left unturned to raise the life standard of the people of NWA.
"The post is a sacred trust of Allah and he will ask me about the fulfillment of my responsibilities, so it is my duty to work for the betterment of the people as far as possible".
Earlier Malik Mumtaz and other elders briefed him over the problems of the area.
Additional political agent Muhammad Amin was also present on the occasion.
