Our examination system

Posted on 10 months ago

Our educational system is so corrupted that it has crossed all the limits nowadays. It is common fear amongstudents before taking the examinations that the paper might have been leaked because it is common thing among all the boards.
Bribery is extremely common and for cheaters it is essential. Sometimes politicians are also involved. Such personalities can easily scare an invigilator. As far as results are concerned we cannot even imagine how far we have gone.
There is no fair marking. Intelligent students with great yearly performance get unexpected grades and marks. I hope the boards authorities would take steps to correct the situation.

Expression of opinion
A demonstration, rally, long march and survey do not represent opinion of the majority, and some even result in violence. Besides elections and referendum, there is no perfect peaceful way of ascertaining opinion of the majority. However, better ways can be suggested.
In my humble opinion, a resolution on an issue of national importance should be announced by the government or opposition as applicable, and a suitable date and timing of 15 minutes duration should be fixed during which the people in favour of the resolution may stand on footpaths, roadsides, streets and balconies, and stop and park their vehicles on roadsides to express their opinion.
It will minimize waste of time and money, and also enable those to express their opinion who cannot participate in a demonstration, rally, long march or survey for any reason. Independent observers may evaluate the response and report through media.
The opinion thus ascertained can serve as a guide for the decision makers for future course of action.
