BAHAWALNAGAR (APP): Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik on Monday said the PML-N had turned into Petition League and is fulfilling all its desires through petitions.
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the passport office, he said that the government of Shahbaz Sharif was running on stay order for the last four and a half years.
He said that Pakistan People's Party believed in ballot and not in bullet. He hoped that general election would be held on time.
Quoting the statement of Nawaz Sharif, he said that Nawaz Sharif had said that it would be rebellion to contest elections under the patronage of Pervez Musharraf but he contested election under his (Musharraf's) patronage.
It is a matter of astonishment that no FIR had so far been registered against Pervez Musharraf in Punjab, he observed. "I salute to Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani who served the poor people and rendered valuable services in his respective area," he added.
Earlier, Rehman Malik inaugurated the passport office by unveiling a plaque. He announced three mobile units for five union councils which will visit all tehsils for issuing passports and identity cards. He said that locals would be recruited in Bahawalnagar Passport office.
The Senior Advisor eulogised the services of MNA Syed Mumtaz Alam Gilani. On the occasion, former tehsil naib nazim Seth Khalid Iqbal announced to join Pakistan People's Party.
