Protest against pro-longed load shedding in Dargai

SAKHAKOT: People of Hero Shah staged a demonstration against the unannounced and pro-longed load shedding of electricity here on Tuesday.
The demonstrators seized the WAPDA house, Dargi, and demolished its main gate. They also chanted slogans against the WAPDA officials and government. The protesters said that the WAPDA officials have started unannounced load shedding of electricity despite the announcement of Prime Minister of Pakistan and federal minister for water and electricity.
They maintained that the poles and wires of electricity on Hero Shah Feeder had fallen down while WAPDA workers were not taking any step to repair it.
MPA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, District president of ANP Muhammad Sohaib Khan, General Secretary Shafi Ullah and many other leaders controlled the excited protesters and held negotiations with Xen Dargai and other WAPDA officials. The leaders apprised the WAPDA officials of the problems of people.
The WAPDA officials assured the leaders that they would change the wires and poles of Hero Shah Feeder and resolve the problems of the people.
