Farzana orders enquiry against BISP official

HYDERABAD: Federal Minister and Incharge Benazir Income Support Programme, Farzana Raja has issued directives for initiating enquiry against the Deputy Director Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Jamshoro Imtiaz Khushk.
A spokesman of Talpur House informed here on Tuesday that on public complaints, the Member National Assembly of Pakistan Peoples Party from Jamshoro District Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur paid a surprise visit to Benazir Income Support Programme Centre situated in the premises of Government High School Jamshoro. On arrival of the MNA, the Deputy Director Imtiaz Khuskh and other staff of the programme left the centre.
However, a large number of women who were present there informed him about the injustices being done with them in issuing Watan Cards and Income Support Cards.
The spokesman informed that while realizing the injustices with the people particularly the women, MNA Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur immediately talked to Federal Minister and Incharge Benazir Income Support Programme Farzana Raja on telephone who later issued directives of the transfer of the Deputy Director Imtiaz Khushk with inquiry against him.
Addressing the aggrieved persons, MNA Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur strongly criticized increasing corruption of the officials, police personnel and the so called activists of social welfare organizations and political parties who are creating hindrance for deserving persons of getting Income Support and Watan Cards.
He demanded of the government to prepare a transparent system of the preparation of the cards of Benazir Income Support Programme under which, the deserving persons could get the cards at their homes through mail service.
