Posted on 10 months ago
The Capital Development Authority has failed to supply the water required by the residents.
Even in the condition of fasting, the residents have to travel long for getting water from the expensive water tanks and far away water wells in order to meet their requirements of water during the 'Sehri' and 'Aftaari' times.
Residents of sectors I-10/1, G-10, I-10/2, I-10/4 and I-9 have posed a strong protest against shortage of water supply, suspension of water supply pipelines and the receiving of money by the CDA in order to get tanker of water at resident's doorstep.
"Even we pay huge taxes but we have to pay money for one tanker to get it to the doorstep when there is shortage of water, it is absolutely unfairness with the taxpayers", a resident, Liaquat Shah said.
"The residents of twin cities have been facing severe water shortage in summers since last many years and despite tall claims by the authorities and successive governments, no new dam has been constructed yet", a resident Sohail Abbasi stated.
The residents of I-10 are protesting for last 3 days, but the concerned authorities have not taken any step to eliminate troubles of the residents.
The residents of the capital have demanded of the CDA to restore water supply pipelines and water supply immediately.Recruitments in Barani University cancelled
