Saudi Arabia invites Nejad to summit
TEHRAN (NNI): The Saudi Arabian government has invited President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to an emergency Islamic summit in Mecca to be held in mid August, it was announced here on Saturday.
Talking to IRNA, Mohammad Sheikhan caretaker of Information and Communication Center said the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Tehran has presented the President's official invitation.
He said the President has not yet decided to attend the event, adding that the decision is under study.
Sheikhan said the latest regional developments will be reviewed during the summit.
