Mamound tribals offer full cooperation to security forces Three killed, three injured in cylinder blast

BAJUAR AGENCY: The tribals of Mamound tehsil, Bajuar Agency, on Saturday held a grand Jirga with security forces in which they assured their full cooperation to restore and maintain the peace of area. The Jirga was attended by the elders of different tribes of Mamound tehsil and the officers of security forces including In-charge of operation in Bajaur Agency Brigadier Haider, Lt. Colonel Ayub Awan, Malik Sultan Zeb, Malik Sharif Ullah, Malik Sher Ali Khan and many others. Addressing the Jirga Brigadier Haider lauded the sacrifices of Mamound tribals in the restoration of peace and government writ in the area. He said that the role of Mamound tribals in the restoration of peace would be written with golden worlds in the history, adding, the security forces have pride over the sacrifices of the elders of area. Haider claimed that the militancy had been eradicated from Bajaur Agency with the cooperation of local peace Lashkar and elders. The elders said that Pakistan is their country and they would never allow any one to violate the sovereignty of it. They claimed that they had always protected the borders of country and were ready to fight shoulder to shoulder with security forces for its sovereignty. ***** Meanwhile, at least three persons were killed and three other received serious injuries when a cylinder blew up in an ice factory here on Saturday. Sources said that a cylinder blown nearly at 1:00 pm in the Agency headquarter Khar. As a result three labourer including Imran, Rahmat and Sadam were killed on the spot while three other including Muhammad Zada, Faroush and Ghani ur Rahman received severe injuries. The injured were rushed to Agency Headquarter Hospital, Khar.
