Welfare trust distributes ration among the needy

These poor and needy families belong to marginalized and far-flung areas of the district. They have no regular source of income, live their lives on donations, zakat and ushr money. In the month of Ramadan, the trust has provided ration packs to more than six hundred (600) families under its food support initiative. The trust has also distributed additional food items such as dates, juices, Chickpea Flour (Basan), Rooh Afza, etc.
Since establishment, the trust under its food support program delivers fodder including ghee and wheat to needy families every month where it is extremely unreachable in terms of both availability and prices.
These areas chosen by the trust are the most deprived and people lives below the poverty line in these areas.
Hina Fysal, Chief Executive and Co-Founder, Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust (BMWT) has praised the families blessed Eid-ul-Fitr and reiterated commitment of continued support by the trust. She further said that, the participation of women in uplift of economy is only possible if these women are empowered and self-sustained.
The Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust (BMWT) is a non profit organization established under Trust Act of Pakistan.
This family-driven trust was purposely started and has been working since many years to bring positive and lasting changes to the people in need and distress.
