Formula for LB polls after mutual agreement: Durrani

SHIKARPUR (APP): Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Sirajuddin Durrani has said that the formula of new local government will be announced with the mutual consensus of coalition partners after Eid-ul-Fitr.
Once the formula is finalized the date for holding the elections for newly introduced system of Local Bodies in Sindh will be announced without delay, he added.
Durrani was talking to media men on the occasion of an Iftar dinner party hosted in his honour here by District PPP President Shikarpur Mir Babal Khan Bhayo at Bhayo House on Saturday evening.
He said that the LB election as well as the coming general elections would be contested jointly by the coalition partners. Peer Sahib of Pagara, chief of Pakistan Muslim League Functional, being a coalition partner would never support anti-PPP groups to form anti-PPP alliance as per commitment made by him during his recent meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari, he added
He hoped that the PPP would achieve great victory in coming general elections with the support of coalition partners and it would return to power to serve the people as per their wishes and demands like as in past.
Replying to a question, Durrani said that northern Sindh Urban Sanitaiton Corporation-NSUSC functioning in Shikarpur and some other particular districts in Sindh had failed in achieving the best performance.
