Fehmida’s role in conducting House business appreciated

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Speaker National Assembly, Dr. Fehmida Mirza called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at PMs House and discussed matters relating to the legislative business of the House.
The Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Speaker for conducting the business of the House in a coordinated manner and providing equal opportunities to all the parties to express their views on any point of public importance.
Underscoring the importance of Parliament, the Prime Minister observed that Parliament is the epicenter of aspirations of the people as they elect their representatives to solve their problems. He said that debates at the floor of the National Assembly have far reaching affects with respect to formulation of polices by the government. 
All the Ministries have been instructed to prepare comprehensive and timely replies to the queries of the Parliamentarians to facilitate the legislative business as well as better understanding of issues, said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment of the Government to pursue the policy of reconciliation and taking all the political parties on board on issues of national importance.
The Speaker National Assembly informed the Prime Minister about the pending business of the House. She also informed about the measures taken by the National Assembly secretariat for the welfare of the Parliamentarians.
