2 ANA soldiers killed, 10 injured

KABUL (AIP): Two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed and 10 more injured in separate violence-related incidents in various parts of the country, the Ministry of Defence said Tuesday .
A defence ministry press release, available with the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP), stated the troops suffered casualties in blasts and attacks of the armed opponents in Laghman, Ghor, Herat, Uruzgan and Kabul provinces over the past 24 hours.
The press release maintained nine armed opponents were killed, seven injured and two more were held alive during operation in Khogiani district of Nangarhar province. Four armed opponents were killed and as many injured in Alingar district of Laghman province over the past 24 hours, it added.
The Taliban have not said anything in this regard till filling of this report. However, they had claimed causing heavy casualties to Afghan and foreign forces in attacks in Khogiani district of Nangarhar province yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Taliban allegedly killed a person on charges of supporting the government in Shindand district of Herat province yesterday, an official said Tuesday .
A police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) the Taliban shot dead one Himat for supporting the government in Bakhtabad area of Shindand district yesterday. He, however, added the deceased was a civilian.
The incident is currently under investigation, he maintained.
No one has claimed responsibility for the incident till filling of this report.
