PaRRSA opens three schools in Swat

PESHAWAR: The Director General of Provincial Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Settlement Authority (PaRRSA) Shahzad Khan Bangash on Friday inaugurated three newly reconstructed schools in Swat. These schools were razed to the ground by militants.
These 3 inaugurated schools include Government Primary School Charbagh, Government Primary School Shin and Government Middle School Alamganj. These schools are built on the modern architectural lines to facilitate children for better learning environment. That also includes library, computer laboratory and science laboratory. These schools will be models for other educational institutions in the region.
PaRRSA started reconstruction of 181 completely destroyed schools by militants in Malakand division immediately after successful military operation against terrorism paving way of peace and normalcy. 134 schools amongst ruined schools buildings were in swat region, 21 in Upper Dir, 17 in Buner, 5 in Lower Dir and 3 in Shangla.
PaRRSA has expedited the process of reconstruction of destroyed and constructed 27 schools so far. Furniture and equipments are also provided to 21 reconstructed schools in Malakand Division.
USAID is supporting the reconstruction of 117 schools in Malakand Region, including 78 in swat, 25 in Dir, and 13 in Buner. UAE Government is also supporting the reconstruction of 37 schools. Qatar Charity is assisting in 3 schools, while CARE International is assisting in 2. UN-Habitat, Save-The-Children and GiZ are supporting one school each. Special Fund of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is supporting the reconstruction of one school as well.
