4 Taliban killed in airstrike

ASADABAD (AIP): Four Taliban fighters were killed in airstrike of unmanned aircraft in Kamdesh district of Nuristan province, officials said. Unmanned aircraft of the foreign forces struck twice in Goral village, Gorigal area, Kamdesh district yesterday, the Nuristan Governor Hafiz Abdul Qayum told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP). “The first strike did not cause any casualties. Four Taliban fighters, including a commander Hakimullah and his son. Two persons were residents of Naray district of Kunar,” he added.
Civilian did not suffer any casualties in the attack.
In a separate incident, he said three minors were killed in an airstrike of an unmanned aircraft in Kamdesh district five days ago.
Taliban have not said anything in this regard till filling of this report. However, their spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the AIP their fighters killed a local police in Kamdesh district today.
Unmanned aircrafts conduct strikes in Nuristan and Kunar provinces at times.
