'Law, order situation precarious in KP'

ISLAMABAD (NNI): The joint session of the Parliament resumed in Islamabad on Wednesday after a break of one week. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is in the chair. Taking part in the debate, Senator Naseema Ehsan of BNP (Awami) said we are passing through critical moments as people of Punjab and Kashmir are witnessing heavy floods and it is duty of every Pakistani to help provide relief to them. She announced her one month salary for relief of the affected people. She said democracy and constitution allow for protests. She said Pakistan Army and security institutions should not be made target of criticism. Responding to point of order raised by Senator Zahid Khan regarding law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said he would present a detailed report on the situation in the House during the next two to three days. He said law and order, and security situation is precarious in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but it is not getting the required attention as the Chief Minister of the province is busy to bring about a revolution in Islamabad.
