Islamabad (Online): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at a meeting in Islamabad today reviewed progress of Pakistan Steel Mills. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the concerned authorities to continue their hard work to revive the Steel Mills and achieve the desired targets. Ishaq Dar appreciated the current surge in production at Pakistan Steel and assured to provide all possible assistance for complete revival of the Mills. Earlier, briefing the Minister, Cheif Executive Officer of the Mills Retired Major General Zaheer Ahmed Khan said production capacity of the Mills has risen to twenty-five percent from a paltry three percent in May 2014. He said regular production of the Mills has been gaining momentum as a result of the financial package of eighteen point five billion rupees specially approved by the ECC. Zaheer Khan apprised the Minister that the production is expected to touch the thirty percent mark by the end of this month and touch forty percent in October.
