LAHORE (NNI): In fulfillment of promise made by the Honorable Chief Minister Punjab for providing to relieve the land owners, and to facilitate their access to record, computerized Arazi Record Centers have been established in all tehsils throughout the province. According to Spokesperson for Project Management Unit Board of Revenue, Punjab, computerization of land records has substantially been completed in 16 districts namely Lodhran, Hafizabad, Nankana, Mundi Bhauddin, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Jhang, Okara, narowal, Chakwal, Toba Tek Singh, Rahim Yar Khan, Attock and Bahawalpur. The statistics shows that land record of about 24000 revenue estates and 5.5 million land owners has been computerized. State of art, spacious buildings have been constructed and qualified and trained staff has been recruited on merit for provision of services from theses centers. The spokesperson told that the fard is being issued in 30 minutes and the process of mutation is completed in just 50 minutes serving countless land owners in these centers. This project has made access to land records easy at one hand and ensures the security of rights at the other through recording the biometric data which will lead to eliminate fraud and corruption. The land owner have expressed their gratitude towards honourable Chief Minister and applaud this project? determined to provide relief to public. This project will be an important milestone towards economic development.
