Political stability pre-requisite for speedy progress

LAHORE (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that political stability and peace is pre-requisite for speedy progress and boost of economic activities. He was talking during a meeting with the Head of Jamiat Ahle Hadees Pakistan, Prof. Senator Sajid Mir, in Lahore Sunday. He said that armed forces is fighting against the enemies of peace to end the menace of terrorism and the whole nation is proud of great sacrifices presented by the officers and jawans of armed forces. The Chief Minister said that ulama e karam will have to play their effective role to promote peace, brotherhood and tolerance in the society. He asked the parties, who are doing politics of sit ins and protests, to review their negative attitudes. He said that parties, who are putting hurdles in the way of country's prosperity, are doing no service of public. He said that a lot of money has been wasted on useless sit ins, instead of spending them on flood victims. He said that PML-N Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has provided every possible assistance to the flood victims and has given them historical package worth sixteen billion rupees.
